Center for Court Innovation and Americorps Project
On September 10, 2004, the Center for Court Innovation in conjuction with 30 Americorps volunteers helped spruce up two Queens parks. There were 30 Americorp volunteers split between Queensbridge park and Murray Playground. At Queensbridge Park the fence all along Vernon Blvd was repainted. At Murray Playground the benches were repainted along with "Big Bird" the abstract sculpture that sits in the dog run. Councilman Gioa was also invited by the Center for Court Innovation.
