Friends of Brookville Park

On Sunday, July 10th, the Friends of Brookville Park enjoyed their first big event. This brand new group had an outstandingly successful park clean up day. Group leader Marie Granato recruited 19 community members to conduct a major clean up along the fence and sidewalk along 232nd St. Volunteers spent 4 hours cutting down the immense overgrowth on the side of the ballield, picking up trash, and painting the benches in the dugouts and along the walking path. Community members are looking forward to the next park clean very soon.
