Celebrate Park Volunteers

Partnerships for Parks promotes and encourages sustained involvement in parks by hosting events that celebrate the accomplishments of park groups and volunteers. From large scale gatherings to roundtable luncheons, our festive recognition events provide unique opportunities for volunteers to network with peers, publicize their activities and achievements, connect with decision-makers, and receive well-deserved appreciation to energize and motivate their continued work.

Follow the links below to learn more about some of these exciting events:

It’s My Park Day: Our annual It’s My Park Days bring together thousands of volunteers to celebrate and care for parks in all five boroughs. Our grassroots approach invites new and established park groups to collaborate and organize their own It’s My Park Day projects, which we support with supplies, promotion, programming opportunities, and direct staff assistance. IMPD can make a community group visible in their neighborhood, empower members to plan future activities, and present a positive opportunity to recruit other park users.

Volunteer Recognition Events: Partnerships for Parks is proud to honor volunteers who demonstrate leadership and commitment to their parks at our annual recognition events, including our Fall Recognition Receptions.
