The Stewardship of the NYC Water Trail

map image of water trail points in the five boroughs

While the NYC Water Trail project began as an effort to identify where people could access water for boating, in the end it also connected to citywide policy conversations about water recreation and access.

Catalyst is focused on adding current and former waterfront sites to the trail, enhancing water trail stewardship, and promoting the facilities and activities that would contribute to development of the water trail.

Learn more about the Water Trail on the Parks Department website.
