Apply for a Grant

Tim Gamble of the Red Hook Boaters presenting about his group’s Capacity Fund project to a gathering of Partnerships for Parks grant recipients at Valentino Pier Park, Red Hook, Brooklyn.

Partnerships for Parks offers small grants to support and develop community groups devoted to caring for their neighborhood park. Grants are one of many resources we offer to strengthen our network of park groups, and we expect grant applicants to work with their Outreach and/or Catalyst Coordinator to access the full array of Partnerships for Parks support. Our grantmaking priority is to invest in the sustainability of grassroots park groups and help them have a tangible impact on their park and their community.

The Capacity Fund is the primary funding opportunity available through Partnerships for Parks. The Capacity Fund is a competitive small grant program with a public application process. Groups active in any New York City park are eligible to apply.

We occasionally offer mini grants through our Catalyst Program. Catalyst mini grants are geographically or thematically focused.Catalyst mini grants are geographically or thematically focused.

In addition to our grant programs, Partnerships has compiled a list of external grant opportunities that might be appropriate for park groups.
