Transforming & Connection New York & New Yorkers

Our First Citywide Conference By and For Parks Supporters
Hunter College | New York City | March 2011

Thank you to everyone who joined our first citywide conference in March 2011 to reflect on 15 years of helping NYC residents transform neighborhoods into healthy and livable communities. Participants had the opportunity to share stories, participate in interactive sessions, and network with government and community leaders.

  • "All parts of the conference were informative and beneficial ... because I was able to get another perspective on park issues."
  • "I learned how to mobilize people to help each other."
  • "Building Healthy and Livable Communities is inspiring because it gives the successes and struggles of the alliances working with their unpromising environment to make the limited spaces safe for use."
  • "I made connections with people who will help me with next steps for my organization."
