It's easy and fun to participate in many aspects of waterfront life. Here are just a few of the ways to get involved.

•  Participate in monthly meetings to help create a vision for the waterfront

•  Participate in local clean-ups and service projects- and, bring your friends and family

•  Join or start a Friends group for one of the local parks

•  Organize park events and activities from clean-ups to concerts

•  Create outreach materials for events and activities

•  Document and photograph events and activities

•  Be on the Astoria/LIC Catalyst Project Street Team - help promote events and activities

•  Help update and improve the community website - www.astoriawaterfront.org

•  Donate food, supplies, or funds to support events and activities and receive recognition for doing so

•  Take your friends and family to waterfront parks and events so more people know about this fantastic asset

•  Participate in or help lead waterfront parks bike tours

•  Write letters to the editor in local papers that highlight our waterfront and waterfront parks

•  Let your local elected officials know what your waterfront means to you
