HISTORIC HARLEM PARKS

Historic Harlem Parks Catalyst Project

In Central Harlem, four historic parks represent a total of 88 acres of fields, playgrounds, recreation centers, rocky outcroppings and forests. The Historic Harlem Parks Catalyst Project works to develop and strengthen community involvement and leadership in these four Historic Harlem Parks in order to promote partnerships that maximize resources and sustainability.

Goals in the Historic Harlem Parks:

  • To support and network organizations involved with the Historic Harlem Parks.
  • To promote park usage through improvements and raise awareness.
  • To increase the resources available to realize the full potential of the Historic Harlem Parks.
